MEMBERSHIP

Fair Winds and Following Seas

Our membership is composed of retired military officers who want “to do more and give back.”  We enjoy what we do a as a group…and we think you will too if you give us a chance.  Come by one of our meetings…see how you like it!

Benefits:  In addition to the opportunity to swap sea stories, trench talk, Marine mumbles, or whatever your branch of service may call them, we seek as a group to enhance our member’s benefits by providing the following – opportunities to network, engage in community service, practice advocacy at your level, and attend special events.

The chapter holds business and social meetings quarterly.    Regular quarterly meetings are held at a variety of venues within Fairfield county and we always have an engaging guest speaker.

In June, the chapter conducts an impressive formal military dinner and ceremony to honor our Young American Awardees.  The Young American Awards Program (YAA) honors  graduating seniors from over 30 area High Schools, selected for their patriotism and leadership potential.

Eligibility:  Men and women who have served or are serving on active duty, or in one of the National Guard or Reserve components, as a commissioned or warrant officer in one of the eight US uniformed services, as well as widows or widowers of any deceased member of one of those services.
